A Wild Animal Needs Help If It Shows Any of These Symptoms:
Seizures, identified by body stiffening, twitching, or rapid eye blinking.
Neurological symptoms like leaning, circling, and losing balance.
Known contact with a dog or cat. Even when no injury is evident, medical attention is necessary.
Shock, which animals present by appearing sleepy, tame, or non-responsive.
Active bleeding.
No use or impaired use of one or more limbs.
Wounds, swelling, or lesions; for turltes, a cracked shell.
String, fishing line or other materials protruding from mouth or wrapped around any part of the body.
Foreign object stuck to the body, like a mousetrap or a plastic bag wrapped around head.
Foreign substances such as oil, grease, or glue on fur or feathers.
Animals who appears wet when it is not raining, including water birds.
Discharge from the eyes, nose, or mouth.
Glassy eyes, unfocused eyes, apparent or suspected blindness.
Missing part of a limb or tail. If the injury is healed and the animal appears to be functioning normally, consult with our team before intervening.
