In Memory of Frodo

It’s with a collective broken heart that we say goodbye to our sweet boy, Frodo the Virginia opossum. He wasn’t just an ambassador for his species—he was a dear friend and a beloved member of our wildlife rehab family and community. His gentle nature and endless love for snacks made him a joy to be around. We cherish the time we had with him.

Frodo had a special way of brightening our days, whether he was happily nibbling on his favorite treats or simply being his silly self. He taught us the power of quiet companionship and reminded us to find happiness in the little things, like a walkabout or a nap.

We have Frodo-shaped holes in our hearts. But we will carry his memory with us always, in every lesson we share at our education programs and every animal we care for. He was one of a kind, and we are so grateful for the time we had together.
